29th Young Economist of the Year Award

The Czech Economic Society has been awarding ‘The Young Economist Award’ to economists under 30 years of age who register for the competition by submitting their original, professional papers. Furthermore, the CSE awards the Karl Engliš Prize to the paper best dealing with Cech economic policy. Moreover, authors under 25 years of age who have never been awarded by the CSE in the past may be granted honourable mentions.

The prize is granted non-periodically by the CES management board to excellent representatives of Czech economics. The beneficiaries of the Prize may include economists with long-term local activity and foreign economists of Czech origin.

Call for nominations for the Kateřina Šmídková Prize

The Kateřina Šmídková Prize is given to commemorate the leading Czech economist professor Kateřina Šmídková, a longstanding member of the management board of the CES, professor of economics at IES FSV UK and director of the Economic Research Department of the Czech National Bank. The purpose of the Prize is to support female economists of Czech and foreign origin with long-term local activity and Czech female economists active abroad with exceptional standards of publication activity and to support their further professional development.
